Two children - No Supermom here.

Now that I’m well into the New Year I’m getting back on track and fulfilling my commitment to watch a two year old one morning per week.

At the end of last year I agreed to two mornings per week, but it didn’t work out in my schedule, so today I start my new routine of watching the neighbors boy only one morning.

I did this last semester as well while Mommy went to a class, and it worked out well. K gets to play with another little person and they get along – mostly.

Since there is a year age difference, they’ll play for about an hour or so, and then go their separate ways with separate toys. At that point I take them up to my bedroom and close the gate so they can’t leave. I clean the heck out of my bedroom and they are in a closed location where I can keep a close eye on them.

Works for me.

Is this what it will be like when we adopt again? I’ll have a very clean bedroom but get nothing else done?

I read a comment a while back from Erin who said SuperMom was anyone who could bathe, feed and clothe the children….and wash the kitchen floor and do laundry and run errands and….

……I stopped reading after ‘feed the children.’

(can anyone find that comment and I’ll link to it)

I’m not SuperMom. In my house, I am happy to get everyone fed and the house more or less picked up and cleaned once in a while. I am not a Flylady devotee although I wish my internal working allowed me to follow her program more closely.

No, Maybe the bedroom will be cleaned a lot this year – at least once per week anyway, but the rest of the house will have to wait.

Opps, gotta go, I’ve got children to watch.

Coming soon: My update on our homestudy and our adoption progress.
