Hi everyone!<br />
I have a bio. son age 10 and bio. daughter age 7. We are looking into adopting a 9 year old son. We are currently learning as much as we can to make an informed decision. I agree with your post. My bio. son has ADHD and he came right from my belly! My husband and I are up to the challenge & blessing of adopting another child. Praying that this is the ONE for us. I've enjoyed my conversations with his caseworker and things are looking promising. I look forward to becoming one more success story to combat this ugly myth! :-)

Ugh...exactly! My manager actually had the audacity to ask, "Do you worry about bad genes?" I said, "No. Any kid can have issues, behavioral, mental, physical, etc. There are no guarantees, no matter what, and my kids are fine." I was really surprised at this question, but it just goes to show that myths abound and our kids, particularly as they age, will be stereotyped.
