In
a previous post I linked to an organization called
Old Bags, which takes donated handbags and auctions them off for foster children charity in Saint Louis.
I mused,.....
Lets all get together and donate our old handbags, and maybe buy a new one?
What? Well, do you have any sitting around in your closet that you haven't used for a while? Maybe you've got a great eye for vintage and designer bags that go on sale at garage sales and thrift stores.
Lets donate!
It sounds like a great cause. I wrote to them and this is, in part, the answer I got about how to donate a bag. sadly, they aren't in other cities (yet?) so you can only bid in Saint Louis.
Hi Michelle - thanks for your interest in our Old Bags event. This is a trademarked event and the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition (FACC)has exclusive rights to it in St. Louis. We are looking for donations (fully tax-deductible) of designer handbags - either new with tags on or in excellent gently-used condition. Donations can be shipped directly to me at the address below. I will send a thank you noting the tax-deductible donation to the donor. The funds raised at the event on April 26th will be used by FACC to find forever families for children in foster care.
Thanks again!
Debbie
