Our foster children return - for the night

Continued from here.....

I’m trying not to think too much about what the kids were like two years ago when they went home.

The girl would pee everywhere; the boy would lash out at inappropriate times,

These were the children I took screaming naked from the swimming pool and the security guard came to check on us. They were both having meltdowns.

These children lashed out in McDonalds and one of the other mothers eating lunch, called police.

These were the children that caused damage to a stranger’s car downtown when they became angry about…? I do not even remember.

They were three, four and five years old at the time.

Yet we still had a lot of good times.

These children loved to play with dinosaurs and go hiking in the mountains every day.

These are the children I taught to swim, but they have never been back swimming since they left here.

Two of them are on medication now and I will be dispensing it tonight. I don’t know what it is or what it is for.

Tomorrow our home study happens – and I’ve been cleaning for a week. I wonder how badly they’ll trash the house. Will I have time to recoup?

The home study supervisor should be used to a trashed house because of children. It will be clean, just maybe not tidied.

I hope they don’t break anything.

Mom is young and healthy and should have a perfectly normal delivery. They are inducing tonight, but I’m not sure why. Doctors do that a lot these days don’t they?

My mind jumps from memory to worry – and I haven’t thought about these children much over the last year .

Now that they are in school I feel better – at least more eyes watch them everyday to make sure they are safe.

I better go shop for some Christmas presents to send them home with.

More tomorrow.

Gosh....well I hope you resurface with good details tomorrow. Just one word of advice...the movie? try to steer away from "Seed of Chuckie" & "Children of the Corn" and the like if ya know what I mean, LOL.
Good Luck!

Hope its only for the weekend as they could put K in jeopardy.

Remember what they were like when they weren't medicated.
