While I was researching the Kyle Busch Foundation, I discovered that many NASCAR drivers have started foundations that benefit kids. Following is a list of the foundations. There may be one here that can help your child.

The Dale Jarrett Foundation – This foundation is very broad in the scope of what they do and their mission statement. for the religious, physical, social and educational needs of children and families trying to cope in today’s society.

The Dale Earnhardt Jr. Foundation

• Organizations children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses.

National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Registry – Rick Hendrick is not a driver, instead he owns several cars. He battled leukemia and now works to increase awareness for the need for bone marrow donors.

The Hermie and Elliott Sadler Charitable Foundation – The Sadler brothers both work to help raise awareness for autism, find a cure and promote research. They have a family member with autism, so this cause is very important to them.

Jamie McMurray Foundation – The foundation also focuses on autism research, awareness and finding a cure.

The Bobby Labonte Foundation – The Bobby Labonte Foundation works to help charities that work to help children with special needs.

The Jeff Gordon Foundation – As one of the drivers for Rick Hendrick the foundation works to support bone marrow donor awareness, as well as The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital at North East Medical Center, Riley Hospital for Children and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation – The goal of this organization is to help other non-profits who work with children.

Ricky Craven and Wal-Mart - Mr. Craven hosts a snowmobile ride each year to benefit children in the Bangor, Maine area as well as working with Children’s Miracle Network.

The Roam for a Home Foundation – Terry LaBonte formed this foundation to help raise awareness and funds for other foundations who work to help kids. The ride (roam) becomes the fundraiser and the vehicle to help raise awareness.

The Robbie Loomis Foundation – This foundation awards grants and scholarships to programs that:

• Promote educational involvement
• Strengthen families and communities
• Reduce juvenile troubles and alienation.

The Tony Stewart Foundation – Tony Stewart is my husband’s favorite driver and has been a friend to the Attachment & Trauma Network. His foundation regularly supports several different organizations including the Kyle and Pattie Petty’s Victory Junction Camp, The Make-A-Wish Foundation and Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Charities.

The Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports, Inc. (WAM, Inc.) - The organization is composed of many wives of the racers in three different avenues of racing, which are the Craftsman Truck Series, The Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series. The women focus on fundraising and wellness programs for women and children.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that so many of the drivers that my husband loves to watch are concerned with children and helping the community.
